This beautiful article below was written by my gorgeous granddaughter and it reminded me that young people these days are interested in #NATURALHEALING: Including crystals and want to know more… so these on-line classes are with them in mind offering advice and techniques on how to use #crystals on #energylocks.. what #attitude is linked to the energy locks within the body plus how to release them before they impact on the physical body ….
Kayla Whiteside has been brought up using natural remedies and crystals all her life and has decided to study as an Ayurvedic doctor… I have two say I am so so proud of her and she will be amazing
THIS IS KAYLAS STORY (such pressure to know what to be at such a young age) 15 years old, yet told I was supposed to know what I want to do as a career. School always applied this pressure of needing to know what was the next chapter of our lives… I felt like I was the only one who didn’t know what was ahead of me and what I would like to do. I remember having this conversation with my Nan (last year) about careers and she made me list out all of the things I enjoyed to do; I knew what I liked: cooking and creating healthy diets, elements of dance and stretching, biology, alternative medicine, making potions and herbal remedies always intrigued me.
Nothing I had heard of involved these things. However my Nan had an inspiring friend called Sharon who introduced me to this idea of ‘Ayurvedic medicine’ – the Eastern view of medicine and an alternative to antibiotics (the natural way of living). This involved 5 main practices: yoga, diet, massage, herbs and meditation. This was perfect for me because my Nan owns the British Academy of Crystal Healing so meditation with crystals has always calmed my mind, especially throughout my stages of travel anxiety. Crystals are also one of many other parts involved in Ayurveda, which made me fall in love with it even more because crystals have been a part of my life since I was born. I always enjoyed connecting with crystals, it was the only reason I would sleep at night without the nightmares I used to have as a young child. I found a sense of comfort within them which makes me even more excited that they are a part of Ayurveda. Ayurveda involves everything I want to incorporate into, not just my career, but my life too.
The idea of Ayurveda really resonated with me because I have always been a strong believer for a natural alternative to antibiotics. When I met with Sharon she explained all of the areas within Ayurveda and every element ticked the box of what I wanted to do. She taught me how to read pulses to determine what type of diet that person should be leading… that was the moment that I knew that this was the right path for me. She gave me a book that contains all the details about ‘Ayurveda’ I have used this book to help me read someone’s diet by their tongue and eyes. Ayurveda has helped me to heal myself of headaches using herbal remedies and help my mum to soothe her breathing problems, using a combination of yoga postures. I had the sensation that this was my purpose and so I researched further. I found out that it was really rare for someone of my culture to become an ‘Ayurvedic doctor’ some would say it was a challenge to become one; to me, my journey has just begun!
